Trash-O-Rama

I'll be writing a bit about this over the course of my blog. It's my clubnight Trash-O-Rama, based in Manchester. We play the best of riot grrrl, garage, grunge, hair metal, goth, new wave, no wave, electro, def jams, synth, disco, soul, rock 'n' roll and reggae. We also blast local independent artists films, bizzaro movie clips, kitsch TV spots and rare music videos out through our shitty old projector all over walls and in yr faces. Bands play frequently too, as long as you have a trashy mindset yr good to go. Next one is Friday 8th July, see event, and will be featuring Bad Taste Barbies & Laser Dream Eyes fab drumbeat trannycore vs sweaty white noise. All this is free too as we like to keep the things we love as cheap as possible, cos well we're cheapskates alreet? Be there <3

Douchebags Of The Week #2

I don't really need to say much about this, needless to say it applies to a larger group of people than just the ones featured in the video. Ignorance of the highest degree to the point of it being humourous. America before galavanting round the world telling people how to live their lives the 'American Way', check yr own can dress themselves properly. Surely in this century people don't still think like this, oh wait they do.....

Pernet

There are about four million boring fashion blogs, most are retarded, done from emailed press releases and blog surfing. They’re full of the celeb stuff you’d find on Perez Hilton, rants about some £2000 shoes, and a load of bum-licking copy about some designers you’ve never heard of and definitely will never care about. Odds are, if the blog’s not from New York, Paris or Milan, said writer will also be deluded about the global significance of whichever designer it is. However, Diane Pernet’s A Shaded View of Fashion is very different, it’s a crazed encyclopedia of fashion. Diane travels the world’s fashion junkets picking up on just about anything fashion related and just about every half-decent fashion designer she can find, posting endlessly about her discoveries. It’s an unhinged Rubik’s cube of trends presented to you by a woman who lives beneath a veil...
